I'm a Cartoonist, Illustrator, 2D Beginner Animator and an amazon published Writer working as the Head of Operations for an Online Art School run by another amazing Artist (Kesh) at the moment.

Hope the New year's been kind to you. I'm happy I made my 2023 a good year even with all the trenches. 2024 a whole new monster and I'm gonna make it another memorable one.

I'm enjoying creating what I want without giving a f*uck about what anyone might think of it. I've been Writing, Sketching, Reading, Working out, Getting and Creating Ideas for Products, even painting. And it's been feeling good to do these things without any compulsion and just....doing it.

School Series 6: The Payasam 🥣

When the concept of a core memory came up on social media, the one memory that immediately came up to my head was the time I had 'Payasam' (a sweet drink) with my 2 best buds in pouring rain near our school's cycle stand.

I remember every detail right down to who drank how much and when the girl my friend had a crush on laughed while cycling past us.

It was a moment to remember for me forever.
Happy to have made it.

School Series 6: The Payasam 🥣

I remember every detail right down to who drank how much and when the girl my friend had a crush on laughed while cycling past us.

It was a moment to remember for me forever.

School Series 5 - The Phone smuggling 📱

It was 2012. No one in our class had a phone for themselves. Then came a guy in my class who I'm still friends with (for 2 decades now). He got the latest Samsung Galaxy Champ and smuggled it to our class one day.

I was mind blown by what that phone did. The games were awesome! The screen was bigger! The camera was so cool! (Remember we were kids studying 9th grade)

We took a lot of photos and selfies inside the class while our physics teacher/class teacher was grading our exam papers right behind us! She must have been definitely blind to not notice us literally calling one of our other teacher from inside the class.

The other teacher was a fun person (the same teacher from my garden illustration). He picked up and asked

Teacher: Dei! Where are you guys?

Us: in the classroom 😬😂

Teacher: Deii!!! Cut the call!

He then took the phone away from us during one of the break periods and gave it back in the evening.

This is such a fun memory for me because everything was good at that point in my life. I had the best people I could ask for, the fun, the exams were chill, the crushes, the games and random outings etc.

I was always jealous of people who studied in multiple schools because I wanted to explore and see new places. But I can say with certainty that me studying in the same school for all my life helped me make memories and remember details that NOBODY else would probably remember.

School Series 4 - The Interval Period 🎒

Every day during school we get two 10 minute break periods. The Boys' usual agenda for them would be playing tag or what we called 'Running and Catching'.

There are a lot of memories associated for me with these very miniscule things about my school days that make me feel warm.

I definitely miss them. But mostly, they made me who I am. I am able to look back at these memories like a book, and see what I did right and what I did wrong.

I always tell my friends

"If only I can go back to my school days with the same knowledge and same personality I have right now, I will be king"

Lol.

I'm making these quick illustrations of my memories from school for my 'School Series' Project where I'm planning on making 10 pieces.

They are not gonna be perfect because I'm focusing on quality volume, meaning, they will be 'good enough'. If you look at this piece for example, you can find places where I've rushed, like the crows, or the canteen, or the blob people in the background. But hey, keep making more is my goal right now. So 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
