I wanted to talk about 3 Things this week.
Change
Relationships
My Animals Project
1. Change 🍃
There are people who are so faithful to their "Group", "Ideology" or "Opinions" that they choose to be blind to facts.
Change is hard for people. It is completely natural.
But being so fixed on your own opinions is not a good recipe to live life. 🍔
One thing I've came to realize lately is that NOTHING is ever Black or White. And I mean NOTHING.
There is always a grey area. That's where Nuance comes in.

Nuance is becoming a very rare skill in people these days. Because everybody is busy spouting the opinions they heard on the internet. 🤷♂️
Whenever I hear something, I have this framework I follow to digest it. It goes like;
I hear the opinion, thought, philosophy or the news.
I look at the person who is saying it and what reason they might have to say it.
Are they benefitting something from me believing it.
Does it have a sense of truth to it?
If yes, Research about it (if it's a news). Try Living it to see if it can be beneficial (if it's a philosophy) etc. If no, discard it.
Are they living their truth? or are they virtue signalling?
Do I wanna have a life that is similar to them?
Now, doing this for everything I hear is 100% hard. But whenever I get the time to think about it, I try to put it through this lens. And it has helped me to an extent.
So, try it out the next time you hear something that you might not agree with. (Including this Newsletter)
Because if you refuse to change and be in the 'I am perfect the way I am' mindset, you have lost before you even began. ❌

2. Relationships
I am at a stage where I hear a lot of people who I know get married. And I am not ashamed to say that I am a heck of a lot more thrilled for them that they are. 😄
It's always nice to hear someone say they have found the person they are willing to spend the rest of their life with.
Every single research conducted on old people who are about to die has without a doubt confirmed;
'Relationships are THE MOST VALUABLE thing you can build in your life' 🫂
I have started to appreciate my friends more and my parents (a whole lot more). Even a random person I see on a given day, I appreciate them for being a part of my life.
Good experiences AND bad experiences both adds to who you grow up to be.

An exercise I try to do is:
Imagine you get to live up to 100 years and you have 100 boxes. Right now you are in the 24th Year and have filled 24 boxes. Now, Zoom in to the box you are currently at. It has more boxes inside (the month you are in), and inside that you have even more boxes (the week you are in), and then the day you are in etc. What are you filling it with? Does it add something to look back at? Is that filled with Junk? Or are you making it into a treasure trove of good memories? Have you made someone happy? Have you made something people would love?
If not, DO IT. Don't sulk around. 💪
Life can be so beautiful if you make it. Everybody has hardships, but not everybody is willing to do something about it.
So if you choose to make a difference (even in your own life), the path will be hard, but forever worthwhile.
3. Music & Animals
I didn't know what to draw without making a full fledged illustration. So I chose something that I like and made a project of drawing cartoon animals listening to Music. 🐯
Here's a few of the animals I've drawn till now. Lemme know what animal you'd like for me to draw next :)

That's it for this folks.
I really wish you an amazing week.
Remember, you choose what you do with your time (apart from your full time job, obviously) so spend it wisely.
Tata,
Kapil.
