'Living Dead' and a potential antidote | Get out of a rut

Imagine you wake up late, feeling groggy, you wonder if you should even brush your teeth since you're not gonna go anywhere, taking a bath feels like climbing a mountain and you stop climbing, you let the missed calls stay that way, you don't help out with household routines, the power of the world in the palm of your hands and you let that power control your attention, watching objectively useless TV shows and videos , and you feel comfort inside your blanket all curled up along with the all the shame you feel for not being enough.
When thinking back to 2016, just after I completed my schooling, I was stuck with staying home for 6 whole months (for reasons).
And the routine you just read was the whole of 6 months.
I gained the most useless fat in my life (which was very noticeable).
I gained 0 new skills.
I gained 0 new connections or relationships.
I in fact pushed away people who came to talk to me.

It wasn't a “dark” period, but I'd say it was definitely a ‘living dead’ kind of a lifestyle where
I knew I was stuck in a rut
I knew I was addicted to the bad routine
I knew I had to do something about it
But, I did literally nothing.
Thinking back on it, I realise I was so addicted to that hobo lifestyle where nothing mattered to me other than my couch, a blanket and my mobile phone fully charged .
It's just blows my mind how much I enjoyed destroying my own life. I was a fool.
How could the brain you rely on so much, make you fall into these traps you set for yourself!
Can you snap out of it? Can you change the way it works? Can the reality be changed into something that makes your day be more memorable? Instead of giving half chuckles to below average comedy shows.

I understand that I did some things to get out of that living dead period of my life. Here's a couple of them.
Started talking baths regularly. Really clears your head.
Went for walks without the phone. Made me look at people and shops and random things you see in your neighbourhood.
It both led to me starting to talk again with my family initially, and then extended to me reaching back to friends and more.
I've since then noticed that whatever situation I was in, a small hot or cold bath makes me feel like I can change the way things are for the better.
Maybe taking a bath is the way to solve all your problems.
So go take a bath you stinky.
Best,
Kapil.
P.S. I like writing these short letters with excerpts of stories from my life that has the potential to make someone's day a little better. And although this particular one wasn't “profound”, I find that very extremely simple, obvious things are the ones that has the potential to transform your day into a better one. And I can bet your day is better when you're squeaky clean with a clear head rather than being in sweaty clothes with foggy consciousness.
