On Reading

I’ve been reading, reading, reading. A lot! 📚

30 mins/day during the week, and more than 2 hours a day during the weekends.

I’m reading this book called ‘The Almanack of Naval Ravikant’

I first heard this guy talk on The Joe Rogan Experience. I was intrigued by the way he spoke, and how calm he felt. I knew he had a book but I never got to reading it.

But recently, I just ordered the book and started reading it.

And I have to say, the book is easily digestible and gives some very valid points and he shares some ways to think about things from his own life experience. 🧠

I don’t agree with all of his points, but this book was a breeze to go through. Here’s a very small paragraph from the book.

Do you have any book suggestions that’s related to business, mindset, philosophy, or even just good ol’ stories you think I should read?

Let me know.

Also, I haven’t talked a lot about what I’ve been doing really.

I realised a flaw in what I was doing with products, ideas, mindset, drawing and business etc.

The problem is, I was focusing on too many things at once and not doing any one thing properly. ‍💫

I have been learning a LOT about what a business is, how it works, what are the skills I have when it comes to business, and what should I learn to improve etc.

And since my birthday (which happened recently) I decided that I’m going to give myself the rest of the year to focus on ONLY ONE THING. (It’s a secret for now)

So yes, more on it soon.

Here’s the 3rd illustration from my School Series. 🎉

I remember very vividly the roadside fast-food shop that’s near a bus stand a bit away from our school. Me and a bunch of guys from our class regularly go to the shop to eat this thing called ‘Kalaan’ which are mushrooms. 🍄

I don’t believe they were actually mushroom, but whatever it was, it tasted so frickin’ good! This became a ritual during my later years of high school. 😌

Everything about it wants me to go back in time and just the listen to the sound of school kids, the dogs and pups running around you waiting to get a piece of anything to eat, the sound of the bus coming in to the stop, friends and their ‘trying to be funny’ stories, and eat the finger lickin’ good food.

Anyways, that’s it for this week!

You go on and have an awesome day 🙂

Best,

Kapil.
